Senbon Emmado in another name (Injo-ji Temple) is a Shingon temple of Japanese Buddhism. Injo means that Buddha leads our way after life to the heaven.
It was founded way in the 11th century. The temple is located on Senbon Street ( on the west side ) between Imadegawa and Kitaoji street.
It’s a little south of Kuramaguchi street. It is in the middle of shops on the street known as Senbon shopping arcade.
The temple in known for its deity of Emma who is the King of the Hell and its Main Hall is dedicated to Emma, the King of Hell.
